Main Location:
In the north-west of the Nilotic area and maintained by the Aweil Dinka people in southern Sudan
Origin:
The original Sanga stock evolved in Ethiopia, and the Nilotic Sanga appear to have developed from early migrations and spread across south-western Ethiopia into southern Sudan. The Aweil Dinka are similar to the adjacent Nuer to the east, and manifest the influence of neighbouring zebu to the west, especially the smaller body size and shorter horns than the Aliab Dinka.
